Brand Identity

Foodies Marketplace

Designing a brand identity for Foodies Marketplace, a home-to-home food delivery company, required a balancing act. The owner hoped to exude a fun and playful vibe with a simple color palette. For this, a vibrant orange was chosen to showcase the creativity and passion of the chefs invloved. A variety of foods are featured in the main logo based on what the owner shared about the diverse cuisines available. To add to the versatility of the branding, I created patterns from the different foods featured in the logo, which could be used for stickers, stamps, or background items. The end result was a brand identity that not only communicated the company's mission of delivering delicious homemade food, but also showcased the diverse offerings and playful nature of the brand.

Crios Cyber Security

Creating a logo for a Crios Cyber Security , named after the god of constellations, involved several key steps. First, the color scheme was carefully chosen to convey professionalism and warmth simultaneously. The final color palette consisted of dark blue, warm yellow, and crisp white. Next, the owner requested a chess piece as the starting point for the logo, citing how cyber security is often similar to a game of chess. After exploring several design options, the final logo incorporates the chess piece icon along with a stylized ram, a nod to the animal most associated with the Greek titan Crios. The resulting logo is not only visually appealing, but also reflective of the brand's values and mission.

Tapcadia

The brand Identity for Tapcadia, a self-pour taproom and arcade, involved various factors such as the owner's vision, target audience, and desired brand personality. The owner wanted a brand that exuded a prestigious but fun vibe, which is reflected in the use of gold and navy colors paired with a beer tap, foamy beer glasses, and classic pinball paddles. The badge logo style was carefully crafted to gently suggest a coat of arms, further enhancing the brand's high-end image without making it too stuffy. The end result was a brand identity that effectively communicated the establishment's offerings and unique personality.

La Fave Fair Cleaning

La Fave Fair Cleaning wanted a brand with high values and a specific vision. They aimed to pay a fair wage to all of their employees, and wanted to incorporate the tipani flower from the Cook Islands in their logo. They spent a lot of time on the islands and loved the people and vegetation. I chose a lush green to infer a tropical feel, and a lively pink to evoke a sense of passion for the people they employ and the families they serve.

Printables & Products

I've had experience creating a multitude of print items, including brochures, business cards, flyers, and more. I take pride in my ability to translate ideas into visually stunning designs that effectively communicate the intended message to the target audience. Additionally, I'm comfortable discussing design options and specifications with print companies and sending design files that adhere to industry standards for print production.

Magazines

I applied for the position of Editor & Designer with HER Magazine while employed by Texarkana Gazette, the magazine's parent company. I was hired and given the opportunity to coordinate photo shoots with local boutiques, edit articles by several freelance contributors, design all editorial content, and place ads designed by our advertising team. Later on, while working for HealthCARE Express, I was tasked with creating a magazine that would cover common health topics and timely reminders, resulting in the creation of CARE Magazine.

Adobe Rush Videos

Deez Skates

This video, created for Deez Skates, was a really chill shoot. We spent the day shooting at a lot of different locations in downtown Texarkana, TX. This one was by far my favorite. I recorded this using a 3-Axis Phone Gimbal using my Iphone.

Dennis McGuire

For Dennis, I would shoot ribbon cutting ceremonies, community events, and videos around the office to utilize on the company's social media platforms. He was a great client!
